Difficulty levels

Easy: low physical demands, suitable for the enjoyment and comfort of family groups.

Moderate: moderately physically demanding trips, routes have relatively flat terrain, technical terrain and the duration of the ride are some of the features of this level.

Strong: These routes require good physical condition and are intended for those who ride a bike regularly. Long slopes, rough terrain are some features of this level, Biking skills are required.

Misahuallí Lap

Full day!

Visit the Latas waterfall, the giant tree and the port where monkeys rule, Misahuallí.

We take the road to Puerto Napo, where we first stop for water and pictures of the great Napo River.

We follow the road to Misahuallí and visit the Latas Waterfall where we take a break for a delicious lunch and a refreshing bath, surrounded by many waterfalls and natural pools. Continuing our tour we take the road to the community of Pununo to visit the famous Giant Tree, more pictures and continue to Puerto Misahuallí to share the curious symbiosis between people and primates.

If our physical condition allows us we return to Tena on our bikes or in our private transportation.

Jumandy Lap

Full day!

This is an adventure that combines adrenaline, beauty and pleasure.

During this 19 miles route we will enjoy the old road to Quito, the beautiful San Jacinto waterfall where we can swim and enjoy a delicious lunch, and the legendary and mythical Jumandy Caves.

For approximately 1 ½ hours, we get into another dimension where we find an unreal scenery of mythical animals and a variety of stalagmites and stalactites.

After this great adventure we head back to Tena.

This tour is ideal for family enjoyment! It is also part of our Family Trips.

Costa Azul

Full day!

During this route we cross the Napo, Anzu and Jatunyacu rivers respectively, and take a swim in the Iloculín river, through a combination of terrain ranging from asphalt roads to secondary roads.

The adventures starts when we meet at the office of Caveman Adventures, where tour guide will introduce you to your bike and give an introductory speech about the route and a safety briefing to be prepared to begin the adventure.

The first destination is Puerto Napo and the great Napo River, the major tributary of the Amazon River. We take some pictures, enjoy the view, drink some water and continue to our next destination, Costa Azul, where he quickly find the Anzu river. More pictures, more water, more fun and adventure while we continue to reach the Jatunyacu river, a very popular river for rafting and kayaking.

Before crossing the river you can visit the Sinchi Pura community, where the crystal waters of the Iloculín river will refresh us, the perfect way to end a great day. We’ll be back in Tena around 16.00.
