Discover the world of whitewater kayaking in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon. Our Kayak School is designed for beginners who want to learn how to kayak from the ground up, with certified instructors, small groups and personalized attention.
Whether you choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 days, each level builds progressively on the skills learned in the previous stage, helping you develop confidence, technique and river awareness in a safe and controlled environment.
Our instruction is personalized, with a maximum of 3 students per instructor, allowing us to provide individual feedback and a better learning experience.
You can join the school for one or several days, depending on your experience, goals and available time. Each day focuses on different skills and river conditions, progressively preparing you for whitewater kayaking.
📍 Location: Tena River Pools
Your first day focuses on the essential foundations of kayaking. You'll learn how to properly use your equipment, control your kayak and begin developing the basic techniques needed for whitewater.
📍 Location: Lower Anzu or nearby Class II rivers around Tena
Build on your basic skills and begin learning how to understand and navigate moving water.
📍 Location: Middle Anzu or Middle Misahuallí
Continue developing your river skills while learning to move more confidently through currents and basic whitewater features.
📍 Location: Middle Jatunyacu or Upper Anzu
The final level brings together the skills developed throughout the school and introduces more advanced techniques in moderate whitewater.
