    Itinerary:

We meet at 9:00 am at the Caveman office in Tena. From there, we head out in private transport to Punta del Ahuano (approx. 50 minutes). Once at the port, we board a motorized canoe and travel along the majestic Napo River for about 20 minutes, enjoying the scenery and lush Amazon vegetation.

Our first stop is a wildlife rescue center, where we receive an informative talk about the rescued species living there. This visit offers valuable insights into local conservation efforts.

Next, we continue to Anaconda Island to engage in Kichwa cultural activities such as preparing chicha (a traditional fermented drink), making artisanal chocolate, and using a traditional blowgun. We then take a short jungle walk to a lagoon home to Amazonian caimans and prehistoric birds, while our guide explains the unique local ecosystem.

Afterward, we return to the canoe and travel to the home of a Kichwa family, where we learn about the traditional process of making Amazonian pottery—from raw clay to the final hand-crafted product, all using ancestral techniques.

The tour concludes with our return to Tena.
