    This full-day tour takes you along jungle trails to one of the most magical places in the region: the Grand Canyon. We'll hike through vibrant rainforest, discover natural pools formed by the Jondachi and Ñachiyacu rivers, visit mysterious caves, and enjoy a picnic-style lunch inside a cave with crystal-clear waters.

    Itinerary:

    We depart from the Caveman Tena office at 9:00 am and travel by private transport to the community of Mondayacu, located in the Archidona canton (around kilometer 10).

    From there, we begin a 20-minute jungle walk. Along the way, our guide shares insights about local plant species and their traditional uses by the Kichwa people, both past and present.

    The trail leads us to a magical spot—natural pools created by the Jondachi and Ñachiyacu rivers, deep in pristine rainforest.

    We then reach the spectacular Grand Canyon, a stunning crystal-clear water hole, perfect for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying a picnic-style lunch inside one of the nearby caves.

    Afterward, we explore hidden natural caverns with striking rock formations, connecting us to the mystical spirit of the Amazon.

    We return to Tena to end the tour.
