Itinerary:

We meet at the Caveman Adventures office at 9:00 am. From there, we drive for about 40 minutes to reach the trailhead. We then hike around 30 minutes through the jungle to the put-in point.

There, you’ll receive your full gear: life jacket, helmet, paddle, and a thermal jacket if it’s cold. After a safety briefing, we begin our descent down the Jondachi River—a technical, narrow section perfect for practicing teamwork.

Later, the river merges with the Hollín, where we’ll face more intense rapids and a higher flow. Along the way, we stop to enjoy a delicious lunch by the river, then continue paddling to the take-out point, where transportation will pick us up for the return to Tena.

• Closed-toe shoes that can get wet and won’t slip off
