Misahuallí, cultural interaction

We will be in one of the main tributaries of the Amazon River; you can discover the giant tree, the majestic amazon wildlife, and learn about medicinal plants and the secrets of the Kichwa tribe.

Also, you'll have the opportunity to prepare delicious handmade chocolate.

This adventure is available for all ages and abilities and it’s one of the experiences open to groups and families.

Misahuallí, cultural interaction

This tour will begin at 8:30 at Caveman's office; from there we will take our own transportation to Misahuallí.
Misahuallí is a small town with a special attraction, besides the beautiful beach of the river, it has some special residents, capuchin monkeys living freely in the trees of the beach and in the park.

After a short walk through Misahuallí, we will take a motorized canoe upriver for about 15 minutes where we will start a 2-hour hike; our destination will be the giant tree. Thirty people holding hands are needed to covers its circumference.

After our visit to the giant tree, we will take the motorized canoe down the river for about 20 minutes to visit the community, where we will learn about this fascinating Kichwa culture through different presentations about their food, dances, shamanism and also here we are going to visit a cacao plantation and learn more about our chocolate “harvest, making and tasting”
At noon, we will enjoy a delicious typical lunch, which will replenish our energy to continue.

After this full day experience the motor canoe brings us back to Misahuallí. At the end of the tour, our transportation takes us back to Tena at approximately.
